Le 31 octobre 2025 j’ai posté des invitations pour le lancement de Poste Restante 01, et la carte postale que j’ai envoyé à Sara Morley était particulièrement appropriée.
Sans que je ne saches rien sur l’histoire de la famille Morley, il s’avère que l’arrière grand père de Sara, Joe Allsopp, était Conducteur de trains à vapeur pour le Midland Railway!
Pendant la deuxième guerre Mondiale les connaissances et habilet de Joe étaient primordiales pour la Résistance.
In October 2025 I sent out invitations for the Poste Restante 01 soft book launch.
The postcard invitation I sent to Sara Morley was a Midland Railway card. Sara was very excited upon receiving the card because — unbeknownst to me — her Great Grandfather Joe Allsopp was a Steam Engine Driver on the Midland Railway for many years and all through WWII!
Joe’s skills and experience were crucial to the Resistance, as he maintained service on the Midland Railway in spite of the dangers of war.
